Where are you located?

To Guarantee your success, we offer two private hunting preserves just 30 minutes north of Fort Myers and two hours south of Orlando. Our alligator hunts take place 20 minutes east of Fort Myers. 

South-west Florida is well known to be one of the foremost destinations of Outdoor Enthusiast from thru-out the world! You will receive the address with your final check-in instructions, but in the meanwhile, so you can plan your travels, plan on meeting your guide approximately 10 minutes North of Ft Myers.

What are the fees and costs per person?

Alligator Alley Outfitters is extremely proud to offer such a wide variety of hunts and packages. To assure the lowest price all of our online specials are offered via website only – so booking online saves you money! Can videos / photos be taken during my hunt?

At Alligator Alley, Your safety and the safety of the guides is our #1 Priority. You will have the opportunity at the end of your hunt to take Photos with your claimed animal and hunt party. Due to the Dangerous nature of Hog Hunting, Swamp Buggies and Firearms, we do not allow the use of any type of camera or phones during the hunt. We want your full focus to be the hunt and the safety of yourself and persons around you. Before the hunt orientation begins, we will ask our guest to stow all Phones, Cameras and other valuables in their locked vehicle.

Do I need a hunting license and what would I need to bring?

Nope, and bring just yourself! We can provide everything you need including weapons, licenses, and ammunition (additional cost) for your hunt. If you are enjoying one of our private cabins – they are completely stocked with all cooking utensils and dishes and you can bring whatever you would like for food and drink.

How far in advance should I book my hunt and how do I know if my dates are available?

Here at Alligator Alley Outfitters we only take a limited number of hunters per week to assure the best experience for our Hunters. We recommend you book your hunt as far in advance as possible, and please keep in mind the Spring Break season is extremely busy and booked far in advance. Can I bring my kids? And what is the age limit for hog hunting?

We love our young people! And of course you can bring the kids of all ages for either hog or alligator hunting. Underage minors will need to be accompanied by a legal guardian but are absolutely allowed to hunt for the same price as an adult.

What is the best way to book a hunt with your company?

Our online specials always save you money, and we like to make things as easy as we can! For your convenience and the security of your card information we offer all online booking. If you have trouble with our online booking or need help please call 239-243-9663 for booking assistance.

How much should I tip my guide?

We are blessed with clients from around the world, and in some places tipping is not customary so we apply automatic 20% guide fee to every package. This will be collected at the end of the hunt, and additional tipping beyond that is not necessary but greatly appreciated!

What are the success rates?

Alligator Alley Outfitters you can hunt your way! We offer both wild non-guaranteed hunts, and guaranteed preserve hunts for both hog and alligator. When choosing your hunt with us you can select the hunt that best suits you!

Is the guide with me at all times?

You may have a guide hunt with you the entire time for no extra charge. Your safety and comfort are our number one priority. You may also sit alone at the guide’s discretion if you choose to do so while hunting over bait.

What time do I need to be there for the boar hunt?

For your convenience we can offer hunts throughout the day. Safari Spot & Stalk – Start Times vary from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (May be flexible, per request) Events typically last between 2 – 4 hours depending on hunt party size. If you choose to do a wild hog hunt over bait your hunt will begin at 2:00 in the afternoon and end at dark. Alligator hunts may be done any time of day! Where can I stay? Do you provide lodging?

Absolutely! Enjoy a stay in one of our amazing new cabins offered exclusively at our Fort Myers Ranch for a fee that is per person a night. These cabins are fully loaded with all the necessary amenities. Learn more by clicking this link.

What hunting methods will be used?

Here at Alligator Alley Outfitters we are very proud to offer several styles and methods of hunting. When booking your hunt you can choose the style of hunting that best suits you.

Where can I practice with my weapon before my hunt?

Practice makes perfect! Here at Alligator Alley Outfitters we feel it is very important to zero your weapon before the hunt and will provide you with everything you need to make sure you’re spot-on for the hunt at our gun range.

What about meat care?

You relax and let us do the work! Your guide will skin, quarter, and pack your meat hog right into your cooler for $40 or trophy hog for $85.  We can also cape your trophy for your taxidermist. Fees and costs may very depending the type and size of your trophy.

What are the reschedule / cancellation policies?

You may reschedule your hunt any time up to 7 days prior to your hunt date with no reschedule fee using this form. If you must cancel and do not know the date for reschedule, you will have the option to receive a gift certificate with a 5 year expiration date. You may also gift the certificate to another person. Any and all refunds are given on the form of gift certificates or partial refunds only.

A gift certificate can postpone your trip for up to five years from the date of purchase.  You can use this voucher yourself or give it to someone as a gift. It will be mailed to the address you enter and should arrive within two weeks.

 

A partial refund is the full total of your order minus 20%. Due to the nature of our business, we are unable to give full refunds as fees and work is incurred from the minute the hunt is ordered. For example, if the hunt is $1,000 (including deposit) then the partial refund would be $800 (minus 20%).

What kind of hunting blinds or tree stands are offered?

If sitting quietly in a blind and soaking in the beauty South Florida has to offer is your idea of a good time, don’t worry because we have the nicest blinds and stands in the industry. Worried about rain? No need to worry we offer beautiful elevated house blinds with stairways and handrails that seat up to 6 people, or you can sit in one of our large two-seater tree stands close enough for that bow that you’ve been dying to try out on a boar hog!

Do you provide rental weapons?

We sure do! We offer premium rental weapons including ammunition for a per day, per person rate. We have many types of rifles for all types of hunters. Feel free to choose what you’re most comfortable with. Your assigned guide will help you with your selection and give you some time on our range to make sure you’re ready for the hunt of a lifetime.

Can I bring my side arm for safety?

Side arms are not suitable for protection against wild hog attacks and are not permitted for use by our Guests or Guides at any time. Not only is it for safety, these weapons are not designed for hog hunting and there will be a lot of transport, getting in and out of vehicles and terrain travel, making side arms a risk to those involved increasing the risk of accidentally discharge. For Your safety, our Guides will carry a proper back up weapon at all times.
